These tea boxes are designed to hold tea bags. The tops of the tea bags are accessible above the rim of the box. The ends are cut out for easy access for your fingers. There's divider in the center of the box to prevent the tea bags from falling over. The boxes are shown with a zebra figure on the sides, but I could do other animals, flowers or whatever - within reason.
Urban Zebra Designs
I've been making art and music since I was a kid. I've been woodworking for about 15 years. In 2011, I started my woodworking business as Urban Zebra Designs in Keizer, Oregon. In 2013, I completed a two-year mastery program with master woodworker Gary Rogowski in Portland, Oregon.
While I have made traditional furniture, my original designs tend to be modern, eclectic and unusual. I use mostly local materials and quality hardware. Most of my pieces have been larger furniture pieces, but recently I've been making boxes.
In 2014, I retired after 33 years in the computer industry. This allows me to devote much more time to making sawdust.
Just wonderful from start to finish! Jon came to my studio to see what I wanted and where; we discussed the design and he had drawings to me in about a week. We discussed wood choices and design features and then he got to work. He worked with my schedule to arrange a completion date. When the rails for the drawers weren't working right, he bumped back the completion date, but he explained what was happening and handled it professionally. He didn't want to deliver a cabinet that didn't work to his standard or my expectations. He delivered everything today and I'm a very satisfied customer! I recommend Jon without reservation!
It was great working with Jon. He was very responsive to my ideas and did a great job with the design. The finished project looks amazing. I would definitely work with him again.
