I fell into furniture making five years ago while attending Art Center College of Design. For a course project i built an electric guitar using a solid piece of mahogany for the body and maple wood for the neck. Shortly after i designed and built a full-scale working carousel.
My first commission was to build a twin set of plywood bookshelves for display at the bookstore at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. This kickstarted furniture commissions for the museum which included benches, tables, accordion walls, confrence room displays, and hand-carved wooden signs. While still contracted with the museum i landed a carpentry job for the Los Angeles Guild, an outfit specializing in window displays for high end clientele. This experience encouraged me to branch out on my own, taking on custom jobs for private customers.
I am now relocated to Philadelphia where i have set up my fully stocked wood and metal shop.
