I have been woodworking for 37 years, making clocks, musical instruments, tables, chairs, cabinets and kitchenware.
Although I use modern power tools, I use old style techniques such as mortise and tenon jointery in my pieces. When I am making a reproduction, I strive to make them as authentic as possible with what materials are available.
I use the woods that craftsmen of yesteryear would have used, such as walnut, cherry, oak, poplar and pine and I choose not to use a lesser grade type of wood as a substitute.
I use keywound movements in my clocks unless otherwise requested, it is more in keeping with the authenticity.
