Industrial Gear Table

$1,200+

This is a one of a kind, high top table I made using two sheaves that came out of a machine called an extruder. The top and the bottom of the table are reclaimed sheaves, the middle tube is 4" square steel. The sheaves are clear coated, the black middle tube is powder coated. The table does come apart if needed. It has rubber pads on the top so the glass sits level and doesn't slide around.

My name is Aaron and I'm the grandson of a B17 gunner and heavy equipment operator, and son of a tool and die maker. I'm a Plastics Engineer by education and career.

I've always been interested in how things work and how things are made. It's a "quality" of mine that I'm always looking at things trying to figure out why they are the way they are and what the designers/engineers would have had to think of to make something work.
I had very limited exposure to welding in my childhood but always found it intriguing. I was asked a few years ago if I could weld, and my answer was yes, I can, but why aren’t I? I took a couple classes and began making things for myself and the ideas of making things from scrap and reclaimed parts and pieces started flooding my thoughts.
Since then, I’ve become very passionate about making custom items for people that are built to accent their spaces and be functional.

I have built most items from reclaimed steel, wood and machinery parts. Some of my more artistic pieces have been featured in local galleries and eclectic shops. With each piece and interaction with a client, I gain knowledge and ideas for future works. I'm always looking forward to creating a piece that someone would be proud to own and explain the items story to friends and family.
