This is the second oak farm table that I have made. The dimensions for the table show Are 32"x 72" x 29" I love the simplicity of this piece. The legs and skirt have subtle tapers easing there connection to the ground. The bleached Oak wood is pickled with tinted polyurethane varnish and is super durable. seats 8. I would love to make one of these for you. price doesn't include shipping

My name is Richard Steiner. I’ve been working in the Decorative arts since 1990 where I got my start as a studio assistant for artists Marc Beauregard and Raymond Karpuska. In the mid 90’s I worked in Atlanta as directing manager of a small craft based studio R.L.Goings Studio where I co-produced murals and bespoke hand painted chinoiserie furniture. 2003 I started focusing on carpentry related projects with an interest in interior built-ins and furniture restoration. And now in Portland Oregon I am producing custom furniture, limited additions of furniture and lighting along with residential and commercial carpentry contracting. I have a passion for the built environment and its trappings and the knowledge and background to produce unique and lasting pieces.
I Started Sweetheart Carpentry and Design llc in 2010, I am a registered licensed and bonded contractor my ccb number is 189840. I share a wonderful work studio with another talented furniture designer/builder and a metal smith in South East Portland. Recent projects have included a custom credenza a bleached oak farm style dining table and a commercial build out for Poler Stuff a Portland outdoor gear and Apparel Company.
Along with my rich work life I am happily married a proud parent to three wonderful kids 12, 5 and 2. I find inspiration in the natural environment and recharge with running trails in the rain and recently started training in Aikido to stay connected to my center. I also enjoy The World of Interiors, author Glenn Adamson’s books on the history of Craft and avidly follow Matt Olson’s Rolu blog.

For Loft Ladder; Library LadderRichard made a loft ladder for my children's loft in our new house. It is perfect. Very well built, strong with clean lines. The children have already started using it and love it! He delivered the ladder in person which was an unexpected bonus. We would definitely contact Richard again for future projects.
sarah westneat
For sarah's BenchRichard's work is terrific. He was professional and flexible. He delivered to my house because he was in my town delivering another job. He was clear with giving me decision making parameters and deadlines. His end products (two 7-foot custom sized benches for my deck which I matched with off-the-shelf cushions) are beautiful and perfect. Plus he was really fast and delivered to my home before my daughter's birthday party. His pricing was great, not a complete steal, but very reasonable for custom work delivered. I could have found cheaper benches requiring assembly but I couldn't find the size I wanted. Custom Made is a cool service -I had 2 carpenters respond to my request- and Richard was terrific.
