Dining Room Finishes, Murals Ceiling Crown And Molding Details
Pulling colors from the carpet drapes and fabrics. I first added the crown and moldings around the cove ceiling, and based them out to match the Oak trim the builder had installed. then the base finish, a soft brushed plaster look was applied to the walls and cove ceiling. Those lighter shades were used to soften and highlight the moldings and crown. The next step was to paint the Mural and add the accent colors to the crown. Then a clear crackle finish and soft wash was added to the walls to age and high-lite the crackle. When we were done the client said she wished we had done it in a room they used more often she loved it that much.

After completing degrees in both Fine and Graphic Arts I have spent the last 35 years creating one of a kind pieces and spaces for my clients. I.D.E.A. opend its doors in 1995, and we have been creating one of a kind rooms and pieces for high-end residential clients, corporate and hospitallity clients sence then.
I work directly with the home or buisiness owners or with their designers. architacts and or art reps. The services begin with the clients ideas and theng go into design,samples and in some cases reserch into materials and product. The scope of the work varies from space design to finishes, fine art, signage, and murals to custom millwork, aplied details, custom cabinetry and furniture. We also ofer custom sculpture and carving servicesin wood and glass and various cast materials.
Nothing excites me more than a clients personality and unique tastes. They keep the work fresh and interesting.
