Town Community Tile Mural Project
This 4' x 9' tile mural represents the town of Wellsville, NY. It was created by myself and over 80 volunteers from the surrounding community over a period of 6 months. This piece was a joy and adventure to create! It will be a lasting work of art made by and for the community in its outdoor home on the side of the town community center. The piece contains over 120 individually carved and glazed stoneware tiles.

My work emphasizes beauty and craftsmanship. I love to create custom pieces for people's homes and large-scale public art pieces in addition to smaller pieces for wall hangings such as portraits or landscapes. I work from life and photographs usually combining the two to create unique one-of-a-kind artworks. I am a ceramic sculptor who focuses on hand-made reliefs and decorative tiles. I studied sculpture at Boston University which included hundreds of hours working from life models in drawing, painting, and sculpture. My educational background and love of nature and craft have form the essence of my style. Tradition blends with new ideas about life and beauty.
