Triangular Steel Fire Pit
I had some surplus steel laying around the shop that had a nice rust developed on it and had been thinking about making a few fire pits with geometric forms and a rusty industrial feel to them. I cut the 1/4" thick steel and cleaned the edges where they were to be welded together, then rusted the welded edges to match the rest of the surface. This triangular one has received rave reviews by everyone who sees it and with its heavy thick steel will last a couple lifetimes. It has a really cool patina on it and when the fire burns down you are left with a glowing triangle of coals. Nice!
