This elegant edge-grain maple cutting board with an offset walnut stripe is a sleek addition to any cook's kitchen. Our boards are designed to provide stability during use and protection for the sharpest blades. Carved handles make this durable cutting board easy to lift and the edge-grain provides maximal resistance to stains, water and warping while displaying the wood's natural markings. The Timber Board Wood Conditioner finish creates a protective layer that prevents food and moisture from damaging the cutting board. The Wood Conditioner has restorative properties that penetrate deep into the wood surface to reduce cracking, revive color and increase longevity. To ensure the life of the cutting board reapply the Wood Conditioner or a food-grade mineral oil when the board becomes dry or lighter in color. Located in Seattle, we create beautifully designed, handcrafted cutting boards that are environmentally friendly. Our boards are made from repurposed, unused scrap hardwoods called offcuts. An offcut is what remains after a larger piece is removed. These pieces are typically discarded ending up in a landfill.
Timber Board partners with local professionals such as cabinetmakers, furniture craftsmen and specialty contractors to reduce waste and repurpose these hardwoods. We source their unused scrap wood and turn it into elegant handcrafted cutting boards making each one unique.
Our business grew as the result of a love for fine woodworking, carpentry and an inclination to reduce waste through creative reuse.
