$1,250

This bed has classic mission features and uncompromising materials. Each bed is made with solid Douglas Fir 4x4 timbers and 2x6 rails to support the mattress and hold any size sleeper, no matter age or size. Each bed is assembled with 6" screws and solid steel 3" dowel pins to ensure quality and durability. Our bed rails are attached (and easily removed without the need for tools) to the frame with high-grade solid steel locking bed brackets. These beds can handle adults and children alike. The styling is traditional mission frame with solid wood pickets and enhancements of black-oxide finish hardware. Every bunk bed is designed to separate into two standard beds for a lifetime of use. A full guardrail supports sleepers on the back or "wall-side" of the bed while a partial guardrail protects from the front. This item is made to order for each customer. Please provide details if you would like modifications for your bed in anyway. Each bunk bed is characteristically different from the other and can be customized to meet your every wish. Contact us today to see additional designs in our portfolio or to start discussing the bed of your dreams… Our beds are as solid as they can be built, with safety as the foundation and the beauty within Mother Nature as our creative guide. Many furniture companies use softer, less durable woods or composite materials. We never use particle board or composite material in our beds. To ensure the bed will remain strong, durable, and will sustain a lifetime of continued use we build it the right way. Included with every bunk bed order: ***All natural in-house tung oil finish (other finish options are available)*** ***Solid wood 2x2 mattress supports are included with each bed (these are much sturdier than 1x3 supports and prevent flexing)*** Features of every bed: ***All of our wood is hand-selecte, planed, and sanded resulting in a clean yet rustic appearance due to natural characteristic in the wood such as knots and beautiful grain patterns*** ***Local sources are utilized to reduce our impact*** ***3 inch steel pins hold top and bottom bunks securely in place*** ***Double solid steel 6" fasteners attach posts to bed core for increased stability*** ***Steel Locking bed rail brackets to secure posts to head/foot boards*** ***Douglas-Fir 4x4 timber posts are the backbone of each head/foot board*** ***Douglas-Fir top plate and headers on each bed*** Delivery, Setup, & Shipping We understand that it is not always convenient or possible for you to pick up your items from our shop. To accommodate customers in need of delivery and setup we offer a reasonable rate on both (within delivery and set-up range) to keep your costs down while at the same time considering our time away from the shop. We make deliveries in Washington within Whatcom, Skagit, Island, Snohomish, King, Kitsap, San Juan, Jefferson, & Clallum counties. For customers outside of this range but still in Washington and surrounding areas (Canada, Oregon, & Idaho) we are willing to deliver to an agreed upon location convenient for both of us. We charge a delivery fee based on location. Please contact shop owner or visit our website for more information. For customers outside of our delivery range we offer shipping directly to your location. Since we are a small business and work out of our home-based shop, packaging, palletizing and freight are an all inclusive fee. The shipping is calculated on a per order basis when the build is ready to ship due to various changing factors such as weight of materials in the bed and current freight rates. Shipping typically takes 5-7 business days and will require the buyer to be present for delivery. To determine the cost for shipping to your location, please contact us so we can obtain a current shipping quote. Thank you for looking!

We are a Bellingham, Washington company that recognizes the need for quality, hand-crafted furniture that is made with locally sourced lumber from the great Northwest. We believe in craftsmanship, quality, and number one…safety. Our family uses our furniture everyday and we wouldn't have it any other way. If you are looking for a quality piece of furniture at a competitive price you've found the right place.
Although we build many different kinds of furniture we feel that sleep is one of the most important parts of the day (or night as most would have it). So, we focus much of our attention on promoting and building beds that are not only functional but pleasing to the eye for years to come.

It is with this premise in mind that we hand-craft each of our beds. Grassroots Woodworks furniture and beds are constructed of solid wood, designed for comfort, and reminiscent of natural beauty. Each piece of wood is hand selected from local and sustainable sources in the Pacific Northwest to ensure that the quality is to the highest degree.
