As a warmglass artist, I combine my background in science and design to create unique and functional glass items.

After spending 14 years in the horticulture industry and 14 years as a science teacher, most of my inspiration for glass art comes from the natural world. I tend to see glass through lenses of geology, botany, biology, and chemistry.

Glass is an amazing medium, it transmits light and reflects it. It can be transparent, translucent or opaque. The texture of glass can be made smooth or rough and the finish matte or glossy.
