Walnut & Zebrawood Handshake Rocking Chair

$6,000

This Maloof inspired rocking chair was constructed with Walnut that had some truly unique characteristics. Most notably is the matching sapwood with black streaking featured at the top of the back legs. To achieve this matching, the back legs were cut tip to tip from the same piece of stock and carefully reconstructed to ensure a matched look. The figure on the arms, also from the same board, is quite beautiful as well. The flexible back braces provide a pleasing contrast thanks to the use of beautiful Zebrawood from Central Africa- a great accent to walnut.

A good handshake is firm. Solid. Secure. It can tell you a great deal about a person. Each of my Handshake Rockers is custom fit to the size and shape of the end user. Featuring flexible back braces and sculpted seats, the chairs literally mold to your body providing the firm support and feel of a good handshake

I am the epitome of a one-man shop. Everything that comes out of my shop is made 100% by my hands. I build chairs to outlive me - that is my standard. It is hard, and very time consuming, but the results are worth it.

I hope you enjoy looking at my chairs as much as I do making them. I'd love to hear from you
