Coffee Table In Native Ash And Blackened Steel
This coffee table measures 18" x 18" x 48". The welded steel frame has been treated with a black patina and hand-rubbed with oil. The native ash surface has been lightly tinted to give the wood a gray hue similar to driftwood, then rubbed with several coats of natural tung oil. This table is extremely sturdy and can also serve as a bench.

BlackBarnDesigns
BlackBarnDesigns is located in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. It is owned and operated by Jacob Ide Wheeler. Work is done primarily in steel and wood. All designs are original and all wood is sustainably and locally sourced from a sawmill just a few miles up the road.
Most of the work features natural stains and finishes including beeswax, tung oil, and even a scorching technique. Polyurethane, lacquer, and synthetic dyes are used when necessary.
BlackBarnDesigns creates shelving, tables, desks, cabinets, benches and other homewares. BlackBarnDesigns specializes in bespoke furniture meeting the particular needs of each client.
