This is an example of the type of letter opener you can request. The letter opener ranges between 8" to 10" depending on the workable surface and shape of the bone. The materials used are natural, sterilized and bleached cow bone. This underwater fish should avoid the sea net! The 8" long letter opener was all hand carved taking advantage of the natural shape of the bone. The opener was hand cut and polished into a simple classic knife shape. The details were all hand carved on the front as well as the back of a fish handle with a sea net blade. There is an oval shaped personal initial carved on the end as a finial. This functional letter opener has some light striations and formations due to the material being natural bone, but it's very strong. Hello, My name is Ludmila and I'm a Russian born artist that relocated to the United States. Although I got my degree in ceramics in Moscow, I enjoy working with all types of mediums and materials. I'm inspired by just about anything, and once I get an idea I don't let the materials limit me. I have a passion to create.
