Rare vintage restored Globe Vise & Truck factory cart coffee table with custom built 3 drawer case made from white pine. The custom 3 drawer unit is built with 64 mortise and tenon joints! The drawers and case are built to last as long as the cart and brought to a period appropriate finish. it's been hand painted 3 times using non-toxic latex paint and distressed between each coat giving it a striking finish. You will be hard pressed to find any cart out there with storage available. The drawers each have 8 mortise and tenons with 1/2" thick white pine bottoms making a very sturdy drawer. The drawers open from either side of the cart for better functionality. The cart is a very rare Globe Truck and Vise steel cart that was manufactured in 1911, the stencil of the manufacture, patent date, and date of manufacture of this cart are still visible on the wood beam that runs underneath the steel top. I also took the liberty to really clean up the beautiful cast iron wheels and apply a black paint to show off the casting detail and timeless design. Overall the cart is in fantastic condition. This is a fantastic piece of american history with some much needed stylish storage. You can check out more of my work at my store and online.
