Steve's Woodturning and Furniture Design
Complete wood shop owned and operated by myself. I started doing smaller projects that eventually expanded into a hobby which consumes most of my time. I am retired and have a love for woodworking. Most of my projects are from my own ideas / designs but I am open to custom ideas and designs.
I have laser engraving available. Period and contemporary furniture, 1 of a kind wood carvings. Lathe turned bowls and vases. Dovetail construction drawers and boxes. Mortise and tenon furniture construction.
Most details are done by hand using scrapers, hand planes and chisels.
All finishes are per request. Hand rubbed patina finish, lacquer, waxed, oil, or shellac. Wood dying for custom wood coloring.

Jan 30, 2016I don't know where to start. This whole process was so perfect. I had a need to organize my home office desk, and typical stacking paper trays from local office supply stores just weren’t cutting it. I drew up a very rudimentary one piece drawing but specified exact dimensions to stay within. Everything fit perfect, paperwork and laptops. My desk is nice and clutter free now. Steve is very talented, but I also know that it takes an informed customer to detail exactly what they want to help out your craftsperson on Custom Made. Communication was great. His production of my item was quick, shipping was prompt and I will definitely use Steve again the next time I require a similar project done. Thank you Steve!

May 15, 2016Steve made two tables for me. Both mimicked construction, but different sizes. Walnut & Oak woods. I loved their look. Most importantly, my wife loved the look and is glad that she listened to my advice on getting custom made furniture in lieu of store bought.
