As a child I painted and drew until realizing I learned more by making objects. Carving wood, casting bronze and welding steel I addressed issues about man and technology in my work.
Second phase of development was twenty-five years of daily exploring folding circles. This I call Wholemovement. I continue to fold circles because no one else does and there is so much more there than anything I could have imagined. I am beginning to incorporate the folded geometry into more traditional materials of which there are here a few samples. They may give an ideas about something you otherwise would not have thought of. If so let's talk about it.
My work is always towards exploration into ideas and concepts where the process remains open for surprises beyond my control that often give a spontaneous feel to a well finished piece that otherwise would not be there. I am most interested in problem solving projects to see what comes to the surface. My need in making things is to actually see what they look like and to feel them in space.
