Own a book that highlights the beauty of nature: hand woven grasscloth journals. These handwoven journals are approximately 6"x9", with 110 blank pages. The covers are removable. You don't need to be intimidated about writing in them; just order a refill when ready. They are made with cotton and linen yarns, on a loom, weaving as normal. But the weft (crosswise) material is raw, un-spun plants! This is known as "grasscloth". Each of these unique covered journals has it's own personality, depending upon the yarn colors, weave structure, and type of plants used. No two could possibly be alike. I harvest plants from Spring to Fall, clean and dry them, and bring them out as needed. After a softening process, they are ready to weave. These journals retain a slight, pleasant "outdoors" odor. The linings are 100% cotton quilting fabrics, and the binding is genuine Ultrasuede. A variety of lining fabrics are available. The colors in the plants are all Mother Nature's doing; no dyeing is done. I use a variety of plants; I can even weave from your garden, if you like! Perfect for diaries, memoirs, sketching, poetry, and design ideas, these mid-sized blank books are easily replaced as needed. Gardeners, writers, and just us ordinary folks all appreciate the beauty in these books.

Treeditions is the marriage of a woodworker (Milton) and a weaver (Patricia). We love to make beautiful and unique creations. We feed ideas off one another, and help each other even when only one of us is the maker. More joint projects are in our future.
Patricia has been weaving since 1990, and teaching weaving since 2002. She enjoys using colorful yarn and other materials to make the world a bit more vibrant and intriguing. Her scarves are designed to please the wearer, feeling and looking wonderful.
Milt has been cutting up wood for over 65 years. He blends modern ideas with classic designs. From boxes to furniture, he can help your home resonate with the warm tones of beautiful wood.
We'd love to make something special for you!
