Revision Nesting Tables

$2,800

The reVision line is for those who seek handcrafted, modern design, space-efficiency, and local connection. It has been designed, produced, and marketed by teens employed at Boston-based Artists For Humanity. Each piece is flexible and multi-purpose, both as furniture and as art. AFH's 3D Design and Media Studios came together to curate image collections from our photography archive for the making of the table tops. The collections reveal their subjects from unusual points of view. Encapsulated in a low VOC epoxy resin, the art images - lush, complex and deep – are laminated to durable Baltic birch table tops. Light-weight and carefully finished steel bases handcrafted by AFH teen welders allow the photo images to take center stage in the warmth of their resin finish. Nesting tables stack, yet also work well distributed around a space. It's furniture with a story – continuously inviting you to share, enjoy and inspire! Ordering: LIMITED RUN! Taking orders thru June 1st. Dimensions: Nesting tables 10" x 10"x 18 3/4"; 13" x 13"x 25.5"; 16"x 16"x 31 3/4" Pricing includes shipping throughout New England. Please contact us for pricing if outside of the New England area.

Since 1991, Artists For Humanity (AFH) has been offering paid employment in art and design to under-resourced teens. From our humble beginning, we have grown into the largest onsite employer of Boston teens, with approximately 250 employed in the visual arts and creative industries annually.

Working across four creative studios - painting, digital media (graphics, photography, video & motion), 3D design and screen printing – teens immerse in the design process with their mentors and learn how dedication to the creative process, with an eye toward emerging trends, results in high quality, marketable products.

One of our teen participants commented on the design and maker process involved in the development of our new furniture line, reVision.

“It was not an easy process, but it certainly gave me insight into how much work goes into a single piece of furniture. Being part of the process not only added to my skills in building and using tools, it also added onto my life tools, which I can use every day.”

Follow us on Custom Made as we offer you a part of our handcrafted journey, working with a talented and dedicated group of young people who come to AFH after school every day to work and learn, to grow as artists and students, and to improve themselves and their world.
