Running Salad Art and Art By-Products
Running Salad Art and Art By-Products is the answer to the question (that I asked myself), "What the blazes should I do with all this stuff?" The "stuff" being all the art I have made and continue to make. I thought of selling it outright. I thought of putting it on greeting cards and postcards. I thought of putting it on t-shirts. Then I got sidetracked and wondered what I could make with cigar boxes that I bought on ebay (I like the cigar box lamps on your site--that's how I found you by the way).
It began with zentangling, (a form of meditative and unplanned pattern drawing) and grew from there.
On my main website, , you will find my art (paintings) and art by-products (everything else). I have no art education in my background; in fact I never made art at all until about a year and a half ago. I have Parkinson's disease, and it turns out I am one of those Parkinson's people that get this crazy burst of creativity owing to the disease, the meds, or some combination of the two, no one knows why (but see for an interesting article about this). And here I am!
My hope is to bring joy, beauty and whimsy into people's lives through my art and art by-products. Peace and thank you.
