Coffee Or Accent Rustic Table Made From Old Weathered Cedar Gate

One Of A Kind Piece Made From An Old Weathered Gate, Posts and Fence! This coffee table is made from a weathered reclaimed cedar gate and the original posts and fencing. Using a high end clear sealer, all of the cedar surfaces were left in their natural state with the patina, colorations, weathering and wear from many years of exposure to nature. The table is 46 1/2" Wide x 36 1/2" Deep x 21" High. The gate table to has the original angled iron brackets with bolts and is secured to the apron assembly and legs with reclaimed wood angle brackets and 16 screws. The corners of the apron are secured to the original wooden post legs with multiple 3" long nails and reinforced with reclaimed wood corner panels secured with hand made flat nails. The strength and rigidity of the piece was achieved by providing cross braces between the legs and then adding a matching lattice structure which forms the bottom shelf. The table was designed and built for the addition of a 22 1/2"x 35 5/&" glass inlayed on the top (inside the iron brackets) and a 23 7/16" x 37 1/2" glass on the bottom shelf. The gate table top is removable so the plate glass can be installed on the bottom shelf. Drop shipment to closest GPX station for pick-up. My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.

My cutting board arrived today, and it is totally beautiful. I could not be happier with the quality of the work or how this looks in my new kitchen. Thanks for your efforts.

Great experience! Mr. Ricks is an adept artisan with a passion for his craft. He kept me updated throughout and was patient and gracious in his handling of last minute design adjustments. While this project may not have been as challenging as other examples of his work that I have seen, it was executed to perfection. Invisible joins, matched grains, precision detailing, and a deep, rich, hand-rubbed finish all add up to a one-of-a-kind, highly practical, and very beautiful piece of art. I look forward eagerly to our next collaboration and am delighted to recommend Mr. Ricks without reservation.

Rick was A+++ in his communication and customer service; a true professional. I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).
