Bookcase Or Room Divider Custom Made With Solid Black Walnut
mr² Custom Walnut Hand Crafted Bookcase or Room Divider. Each custom bookcase is 58" High x 34" Wide x 9" Deep and made from solid black walnut with a satin lacquer finish. Each piece is finished on all sides so that the can be turned on it's side to provide dual purposes as a rooom divider or bookcase. Each piece is made to the following specifications: • Shelves and sides are made with single boards to provide a minimum of 9 inch width. • Book heights up to 9.8" can be accommodated with the piece shown. • All the external surfaces have multiple coats of satin finish polyurethane. • All shelf attachments are made with biscuits and compression gluing. • The bookcase has been leveled. • These pieces are custom made and would be ready for shipment within 4-5 weeks after order has been placed depending upon back log. • The piece is packaged in bubble wrap with multiple layers of cardboard for protection. • All changes to the specification require customer approval. • Packaging, Insurance and Shipping is to the West Coast (See Shipping & Policies). If the cost is lower, a refund will be provided (See Shipping & Policies). Custom item, shipment would be dependent upon backlog. Prices are also available for the bookcases made of oak or other woods. Delivery Schedule
Based upon present backlogs, the delivery schedule will be extended on custom made pieces. Items in stock can also have an extended time period for shipment.
My Craftsmanship Promise
Each piece is hand made and individualized to meet each customers’ needs and requirements. I maintain close communications with each customer on the status including pictures as the piece is assembled and finished.
Any changes or improvements to the the piece are reviewed and approved prior to implementing each change.

I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).

For Custom Mr2 Solid Cherry Shadowbox Bookcase4.8My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.
