This drawing is one of four in a series I did of the Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen. There is something about those photos that I found intriguing and wanted to recreate them on a large scale with charcoal. This is the fourth drawing in the series. The combination of her melancholy posture and the beautiful lace gown made for a striking image and one that would be truly a challenge for me to recreate. I learned a lot and grew as an artist while working on this piece, and it's my favorite of the four. *Drawings are shipped matted and framed. Dimensions - 30" X 40"

I discovered my passion for drawing when I was two years old. I really feel that it's something that chose me, and not the other way around. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of when I received art supplies for Christmas. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing family to support me and my passion.
I went to high school at the Boston Arts Academy where I was able to work on becoming a better artist every day. BAA is a fantastic school and I really felt like I was part of a family there, and in a place where I grew so much as an artist and as a person.
After I graduated, I attended college at the Art Institute of Boston. I learned the necessary skills to become a successful artist while being given the freedom to express myself in my own way. I produced some of my best work in those classrooms and continue to use the skills I learned there to this day.
I'm always looking for more ways to put my artwork out there, so I was thrilled when I discovered CustomMade! I love that there is this great way for creators and lovers of hand-made products to come together. I am proud to be a part of CustomMade and can't wait to make artwork for my customers!
