A writing table made from a live edge Black Walnut slab in the style of George Nakshima. The top's graphic figure is attributed to it being taken from the crotch of the tree. The 2" solid slab end was dovetailed by hand saw, chisel and eye. I proudly display the joinery by allowing the tails and pins to subtly protrude. The front leg is sculpted by spoke shave and hand plane. It's shape reminiscent of my anthropomorphic work.

I am a formally trained custom furniture and cabinet maker. I spent two years tucked away in the redwoods of northern California at a fine furniture craft school, College of the Redwoods. I also took a year and apprenticed with a art deco maker and a renowned studio furniture maker.
I returned to Florida in 2009, built my shop and have been specializing in designing and making custom work in the contemporary and modern aesthetic.
All of my work is custom for the specific job and client.
I mainly work in domestic woods and substrates with no added formaldehyde adhesives.
The work we do with exotics is primarily in veneer form. We are able to utilize the beauty of the wood and extend it miles compared to using it in board form. This allows us control of the graphic, design , and impact on the environment.
I am happy to work directly with the client as well as with interior designers, decorators and architects.
