A recent custom project: 2" steel frame, clear coated for durability Amazing Bluestain (Beetle Kill) Pine top All wood finished with many coats of polyurethane for durability Wood top measures 24" wide x 48" long x 30" tall Bluestain Pine: This is a Colorado Lodgpole Pine that, in it's previous life, had been taken over by beetles. This not only kills the tree, but produces a beautifully unique 'blue stain' in the wood. Check out the photos for more detail.

It's simple - I enjoy all things handmade. It started with a house. I spent a year on a full remodel of our home in Dallas, and once that was done, my attention turned to other hands-on, creative and repurposing projects.
I started with leather working and while that is still a favorite pastime, I've begun to thoroughly enjoy woodworking. There are two parts of the process that I really enjoy - first, the thrill of he hunt; finding used, weathered, or otherwise previously purposes wood. Then, I love watching it come to love all over again; wood that someone else has written off is turned into a beautiful table, stool, or other furniture.
