This solid wood hat rack features vintage railroad spikes to hang a variety of brimmed hats, caps, purses, scarves, coats, and more. The distressed wood and hand-forged metal create an aged, rustic look that will complement many interior designs. Handcrafted out of solid woods, the multi-step wood distressing / finishing process (all done by hand) creates a beautiful and durable surface. Available with a small top shelf for gloves, knick-knacks, etc. KEY FEATURES/OPTIONS - Hand distressed sustainable and reclaimed solid woods. - Durable and attractive hand rubbed oil finish. - Railroad spikes project out at an angle to securely hold most hats. - Optional top shelf. - Custom sizes -- from 12 to 72 inches wide.

A bit of (tongue-in-cheek) personal history:
When I was 9 years old, I stepped on a board with a rusty nail and became hooked on woodworking.

When I was 12 years old, I watched my father arc welding a project in his fabrication shop. After the blindness subsided, I bought a welding helmet and went to work . . .

The first time I accidentally hit my thumb with a hammer, I yelled at the top of my lungs in a foreign language. The second time, I went out and bought a smaller hammer.

If I had a dollar for every splinter I've pulled out of my hands, I could go to law school. Then I would be able to sue the trees.
