This handcrafted rustic-industrial corner table or bench features a distressed solid wood top and lower shelf. The custom blended penetrating oil finish provides a beautiful and durable surface (several colors are available). This sturdy table has a premium black powder coated steel base with rubber pads on the feet to protect floors. The table/bench can be made in nearly any size. The one shown measures 3 feet across at the front and is approximately 17 inches deep and 18 inches tall. It fits perfectly into corners and makes an ideal furniture piece for entryways and other tight spaces. Meticulously handcrafted, each table or bench is an original; so no two will be exactly alike. A bit of (tongue-in-cheek) personal history:
When I was 9 years old, I stepped on a board with a rusty nail and became hooked on woodworking.
When I was 12 years old, I watched my father arc welding a project in his fabrication shop. After the blindness subsided, I bought a welding helmet and went to work . . .
The first time I accidentally hit my thumb with a hammer, I yelled at the top of my lungs in a foreign language. The second time, I went out and bought a smaller hammer.
If I had a dollar for every splinter I've pulled out of my hands, I could go to law school. Then I would be able to sue the trees.

Aug 10, 2017The project was well packaged, and came to me delivered as undamaged. The finished 'railroad spike' shelf&items rack is truly magnificent.....it is beautiful! Both the craftsmanship and the 'old wood patina' is most pleasing to the eye. I am overly pleased. ......and, it makes my leather furniture look good. I would suggest to you that my 4spike length shelf is quite heavy (quality old wood) - and care be taken to its mounting. I am going to secure mine to wall studs. I wish to have ordered a 5spike length - but still quite satisfied. "well done Ray!"
