Maple And Sycamore Shaker Style Oval Box #4 Size
Built in the Shaker style using the same time-honored methods. This box is made from Maple wood, planed thin and steam bent to form the familiar oval shape. After shaping, drying and sanding, the quarter-sawn Sycamore top and bottom pieces are custom formed to fit only this box. The box measures approximately 8 3/4" X 6" X 3 1/2" and is considered a #4 size. I finish my boxes using an oil varnish that is then hand-rubbed to a nice satin sheen. Thanks for looking Mark..

I find that I build what interests me, whether it is a blanket chest made from rare sapele wood; a Shaker side table of walnut; or memory boxes built from interesting finds in my lumber stack.
