Set / Pair Of Nesting Shaker Style Oval Boxes Pine Sale
Built in the Shaker style using the same time-honored methods. This box set is made from Pine wood, planed thin and steam bent to form the familiar oval shape. After shaping, drying and sanding, top and bottom pieces are custom formed to fit each box. These box's measure, the (Largest -- considered a #3) 7 1/2" X 5" X 2 3/4" and the (smallest --considered a #2) measures 6" X 4" X 2 3/8" . I finish my boxes using an oil varnish that is then hand-rubbed to a nice satin sheen. This pair of boxes have a few flaws and i am listing them as 2nd's at a great price! Crosscut Joinery stems from a strong artistic family background and desire to create. I’ve been designing and building wood products both professionally and as a hobby for more than 20 years. I truly enjoy all aspects of woodworking – from choosing the right wood for a project through all the necessary steps to create a high-quality, one-of-a-kind item.
I’m inspired by the simple and true lines of the Shaker style but do not limit myself to one type of design. I find that I build what interests me, whether it is a blanket chest made from rare sapele wood; a Shaker side table of walnut; or memory boxes built from interesting finds in my lumber stack. These days I am able to build what I like -- I hope you like it as well.
