Maple End Grain Cutting Board
The cutting board is made from individually cut pieces and glued together with the end grain for the top cutting service. This tends to make a much longer lasting cutting board that is easier on your knives. This board measures 12 1/2" X 9" X 1 1/4" thick. It sits on 1/2" rubber feet that are attached with stainless steel screws. I sand my cutting boards to 220 grit (very smooth) and finish with a oil and wax butcher block finish. Crosscut Joinery stems from a strong artistic family background and desire to create. I’ve been designing and building wood products both professionally and as a hobby for more than 20 years. I truly enjoy all aspects of woodworking – from choosing the right wood for a project through all the necessary steps to create a high-quality, one-of-a-kind item.
I’m inspired by the simple and true lines of the Shaker style but do not limit myself to one type of design. I find that I build what interests me, whether it is a blanket chest made from rare sapele wood; a Shaker side table of walnut; or memory boxes built from interesting finds in my lumber stack. These days I am able to build what I like -- I hope you like it as well.
