Exotic African Zebrawood Natural Finish Picture Frame (8x10)
Imported from Central Africa, Zebrawood is known for it's beautiful honey color and dark, dramatic veining. Like all frames from the 'Naked' line, this has the simplest finish possible so the natural color and grain pattern shine through. Three coats of all- natural shellac are brushed on between meticulous sanding and the frame is then finally hand-rubbed with pure beeswax. It's slow and tedious process but yields a beautiful satin finish that is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. Every frame will be unique, and even wood from the same board can vary in color, density, and texture- the two ends of a board that are a few feet apart can also be years or decades apart! Every piece from my studio is designed, milled, and finished by hand in Atlanta, Georgia. Each frame comes with conservation glass and backing- as well as a hanger for walls and a stand for tables. Custom sizes or different woods are never a problem, just ask. Cheers!

Even with the bewildering variety of frames available at most 'custom frame shops'- none possess the truly handmade touch of the Art that they are going around. I, however, work with clients from design, to wood selection- profile to finish.
