A truly unique frame completes a space, elevates the Art it surrounds, and shows off the tastes of the patron. Using the time-honored craft of carving and leafing with 22 carat gold- this frame was created to celebrate beer- and a bar that has become nationally known for selling the best. After commissioning a stained glass artist to create the window- the owners of the bar wanted a frame that would compliment the Art and feel at home in a Belgian monastery. Using only traditional techniques and finishes- this was the result. The carving can be original- or recreated precisely from digital files. The details can be painted, leafed in copper, aluminum, or brilliant 22 carat gold (as seen in the example). With true custom framing- every detail is important and contributes to the end product. I make custom frames and display cases for things that people love. Svelte frames for awkward items, custom cases for cherished sculptures, frames made out of wood pulled from your grandpa's barn, and so on and so on.
Even with the bewildering variety of frames available at most 'custom frame shops'- none possess the truly handmade touch of the Art that they are going around. I, however, work with clients from design, to wood selection- profile to finish.
