After working in all aspects of the retail billiard industry for 11 years, and seeing what buyers were paying for the quality they were getting, I stopped saying "I can do better than that!" and started building pool tables.
That was 23 years ago. I started by making traditional tables that were made of beefier, higher quality materials, that featured better engineering and joinery than could found elsewhere. Over the years I always made my tables a better and better while commercially available tables got cheaper and weaker.
Luckily I had no ambition of creating a large company, so I am still poking along making tables while the effects of 9/11, the real estate bubble, Chinese imports and the Recession have put the Billiard industry in the crapper ( can I say that? ). It's still kind of fun…
