Pyrography, or "writing with fire" is a technique used to burn artwork in leather, wood, and bone using specialized tools and, in some cases, torches. The surface isn't limited to a stock piece of wood - just look at these examples. The pieces shown are available for purchase (send a message for sizes and prices), but are shown mostly to give an example of what can be done. Large or small, if it's made of wood, leather, or bone, it can be burned on. Original artwork, or custom images at your request.

With years of dedication to various crafts and trades, I've developed a keen appetite to create using a variety of materials and methods. As an artist and craftsman, I strive to approach each project from a unique perspective, with great attention to detail.
I primarily work in leather and pyrography (burning artwork on wood, leather, and bone), but also enjoy working with reclaimed wood and other upcycled objects. I love the challenge that comes with incorporating unusual or beloved items into a project, so if you've got a particular piece you'd like to include, let's talk about it and see what we can do!
I love to think outside the box when it comes to my craft. There are tried and true techniques, but no hard and fast rules - a mantra I like to live by.
