White Oak Floating Mantle
Quatersawn white oak floating mantle is constructed to look exactly like a solid piece of timber but with a hollow back that allows a cleat to give the impression the piece is "Floating" off the wall. These a perfect for masonry or stone applications where attaching a thick piece of timber could be a huge challenge. Customize the size or material to your liking! The pictured mantle was 84" wide x 6" tall x 8" deep with a dark mahogany stain.

DC WoodWorks and Design, Inc. was founded by an engineering student (soon to be engineer) who always wanted to ensure his hobby of woodworking would be around.
We like to slow down the custom furniture and cabinet process. The guys talking to you on the phone and completing estimates will be the same guys that build your project and come to install it when completed.
The company lives by a simple motto… "We like to build cool furniture, and love creating heirlooms and friendships from the ideas our customers."
Our materials are exclusive to locally harvested lumber and reclaimed materials to turn out pieces that have as much character as craftsmanship.
We love a challenge, some of our favorite projects have been those where our customers have been unable to find anyone else to construct their idea or need. Bring us a picture, sketch, or measurement and we can work together to develop a unique piece that will be found in no furniture store.
