Why should a laptop stand or a beverage/food tray not be entitled to the same decorative efforts as the other treasures we have in our households? Well, I say bosh to that, and set out to show that a tabletop stand can be visually stimulating in addition to serving its more utilitarian purposes. The material used is Australian Poplar and the stain can be chosen to suit your individual preferences. There isn't a laptop that I know of that doesn't fit on this stand, and the construction of the piece allows for natural cooling ventilation. Of course this stand is not limited to laptops, but its uses are limited only to your imaginations. I have used it as a beverage tray, food tray and a table accent. The construction allows for some bend and flexibility and so it's not subject to cracks and will show a little give for heavier, more rigid objects should you choose to place them on this piece.

We are a relatively small group of individual designers. Our aim is to make functional, practical products, without sacrificing on the aesthetic. We find the designs of many modern items tired, uninspired, and more alike than singular. This is where we were able to carve out a niche. Our products are imaginative and visibly original.
At the moment there are two of us, father and son. Our relationship is extremely important, because our time with one another is limited. My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2013. Our response to the illness was to unite and spend as much of our working days together as we are able.
We both come from designer backgrounds and together discovered we had a knack for carpentry. Our process is to a great extent traditional. We use handsaws, hand-planes and we sand off with our nature-provided hands. When it is necessary to use semi-auto tools, our shop is outfitted with table saws, bandsaws and all the modern luxuries of a modern carpentry shop. Still, we find we prefer time-honored methods, to the mass-production so prevalent in today's marketplace. We are nothing if not meticulous and our products reflect this process.
