Original Art, Impressionism, realism, abstract. OIl, alkyds, and Acrylics and PMC Fine Silver Jewelry Carved and cast by me.

Art has been a passion of mine for over 30 years. Though I started coloring on a chalkboard ( and furniture and walls) when I was around 3 years old. People started requesting my work when I was 18 and attending Louisville School of Art.

I use to participate in local Juried Art Shows(my store kind of stopped me from this), I have been featured on local television and in several local papers. My paintings hang in private collections all over the world.

I now live on a working farm shared with my husband, my teenage son, 3 cats, 2 dogs and 19 Rocky Mountain Horses. It is a fabulous place to live. I also own and operate the local country store which is 114 years old.

I use several techniques to produce my original paintings. En plein air, where I sometimes finish the piece on location, sometimes I only paint a grisaille and photograph the scene where it is finished in the studio. Some work is strictly from a photograph. Still-lifes are painted from a either a composition in front of me or by photo.

I am also working with precious metal clay. A fascinating form of art. It combines design and technical ability to produce a beautiful work of wearable art.

Precious Metal Clay is not clay per say, but a rather a combination of organic material combined with recycled metal particles. Once the artist has formed their piece it is fired in a kiln for several hours. This firing process burns away the organic binder leaving solid metal.

Though it takes me away from my easel, it is the most fun I have had in years..

No matter what genre I have chosen to work in my artwork is always a deeply personal endeavor. I hope you will enjoy!
