The exotic hardwoods and other natural material I use to make home décor and collectibles is some of the most prized in the world. The creative aspect is inspired by a passion to aim for an earthy elegance by what the material presents and how best to pair them.
My foundational philosophy of art is grounded in presenting beauty, while humbly recognizing it is the material more than my own doing that is the true honoree in my work. Yet, marrying different types of elements to form an art piece takes a long look and ultimately wisdom to come up with exactly the right presentation.
