Late 1800'S Reproduction

This is a custom project located in the Wicker Park neighborhood in Chicago. The original gate and fence was beyond repair but the client wanted to keep the design nonetheless. After a little experimentation and a whole lot of reverse engineering the tooling and muscle memory to make each twisted picket by hand was achieved! The gate was redesigned using the same design elements as the original but made to be taller and wider. The gate latch is self locking and operates very well. The gate is complimented by two cast iron newel posts made by the historic Stewart Iron Works foundry.
