Western hard rock maple base, with herring bone pattern in salvaged kill beetle pine top. Our client gave us a design concept, and a little freedom with chosen materials. Hardwood base will last years against any bumps and bruises you may throw at it. The high contrasting top draws attention, and will add conversation to any space. Dimensions: 48"L - 28"D - 18"T Finishes shown - Pigmented lacquer, and satin polyurethane. Can be made in most domestic hardwoods.

Joseph Ryan is a small production furniture design and build studio located in the heart of Portland, Oregon. Every piece of furniture we produce starts at the local FSC certified lumber yard. We hand select each board to ensure our furniture is built with the best lumber, and quality possible.

All products we make are handmade by us in our humble shop in Oregon. Trees grow really slow, so we do our best to maximize each piece of timber to cut down on extra waste. Additionally, we prefer to use a low - 0% Volatile organic compound finish making all of our products family friendly, and Eco-conscious.

    Very happy with the final product. Joseph did a great job of working with us on the design and providing suggestions until we go to something thatt we were happy with. We found his pricing to be reasonable, especially for a custom piece. He was great about providing updates and pictures as the project progressed. We were worried about shipping and damage along the way but the crate used to ship everything was great and everything seemed to be protected very well. The stools even arrived with felt pads attached on the bottom which was a pleasant surprise so they were ready to use out of the crate! We would definitely use Joseph again if we were looking for a custom piece of furniture!

    Joseph is nothing short of AMAZING! He went back and forth with me to come to the perfect design and he completely understood the look I was going for, as well as the right materials to achieve that! He sent updated photos along the way. I would like to point out that he was finishing my piece in the midst of the Oregon fires and that I am sorry for the losses he and his loved ones faced. Joseph seems to be a master craftsman AND a really wonderful person!
