Live Edge Maple Dining Table

My name is George "Mac" McIntyre. I have been creating furniture for the past 4 years. After graduating from the Virginia Military Institute, I hiked the Appalachian trail from Maine to Georgia. Soon after, I went to work for a large Fortune 500 company. It was a great learning experience but not for me. I left that job to do what I love, working with my hands and being my own boss. I have recently moved into a 105 year old building in Front Royal, Va and am in the process of remodeling the building.
I enjoy reclaiming and repurposing old items and giving them new lives. It is very rare to have a unique design these days so when you can come up with your own design and see it created, it is very rewarding. This goes hand in hand with working with customers that have specific ideas in mind but need someone to bring it to life. My pieces are built to last forever and will not fall apart after a few years like the mass produced items everyone buys these days.
