Amelia Bendo
For Amelia's SignUnfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience with Second Chance Custom Iron Works. Neil reached out to me with a detailed proposal for my project that sounded great so I accepted since his previous reviews spoke very highly of his work. I do believe this company is capable of fantastic work as shown through other custom orders, however, my order was not taken seriously. I was told my order (which was a Christmas gift) would arrive December 14th, when it did not arrive on the 14th I reached out to Neil to inquire about my project. On December 15th I was told the item would ship the next day. Now it was the 17th and I still had not received my project. I once again had to inquire about my project. I received a reply on the 18th saying that it was sent out and should arrive to me on Friday (I was supposed to give this as a gift that Saturday). When I received the package I was immediately disappointed. Not only was the item a week late, but it was not even boxed or properly packaged. It was wrapped up in some paper and covered in tape. Once I opened the package it got worse. My item which had to be painted had been covered in plastic wrap before having the time to dry. The item was very poorly spray painted with uneven lines and even worse...the steel cutout had unfinished edges that had not been smoothed. Because it had been wrapped in the plastic wrap before drying the entire item was smudged and uneven. It was a nightmare. I was unable to give the gift in that condition. I reached out to Neil requesting a refund on the 21st of December. I did not receive a reply until the 30th when I was informed that he would have to check in with Custom Made about refunding me and that it has been a crazy winter season. Just yesterday, January 10th, Neil said that although he is not obligated to refund me he will if I send the piece back. In the meantime of all this chaos I had the piece sent out to be redone by someone else. I am awaiting Neil's reply to see if I will still be issued a refund without returning the product. While I understand the shop may have been busy over the holiday season, Second Chance Custom Iron Works reached out to me to complete my project. Therefore, I was led to believe that my project would be taken seriously, properly completed, and sent to me in a timely manner. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I do appreciate Neil's apology and hope he will still decide to refund me.

Bethany Laursen
For Metal Spider WebI am so happy that Neil designed and created an iron version of Charlotte's web for me! It hangs in my hallway and makes me smile whenever I see it. The only change I wish for is if the web "threads" could have been more straight to look like a real spider's web; they are currently wavy. But Neil did great work in a timely manner!

For Gary's banister bracketI needed 2 custom banister brackets/braces made and I received 3 responses that I responded too. Only Second Chance Custom Iron Works followed up; not only did I get my brackets made in a timely manner, they were very reasonable (cost).

For Rob's Iron BrandsI cannot begin to tell you how pleased I, and my O/A Chapter are with the brands Neil Suttons has made for our upcoming BSA Klondike event. I had sought-out this project from 2 other "independant" individuals [NOT from CustomMade] and their comments were to tell me how I had to alter my designs, or they "couldn't be made to work as designed." Neil took what I sent him and didn't alter anything. I had the fortune to "test" the brands this past weekend, and the impressions are PERFECT..... I pressed each brand roughly 50 times and they impressions repeated their performance over and over again... These brands FAR exceeded my expectations at a FANTASTIC price... I would recommend Neil Sutton's work to ANYONE at ANYTIME.... Simply OUTSTANDING!!! ~ DeNaDaGoHuYu~ Till we meet again.... >>>---------------> “When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced.
