I spent my early days in my Uncle's upholstery store with my Mom. I played hide and seek between half finished chairs and sofas. All through my life my Mom recovered our furniture breathing new life into them. Many hours were spent pouring over fabrics for these chairs. Many pieces were rescued from the dump and given new life.
It's only fitting that after discovering that FIDM had a competition that incorporated textile development, a hint of fabric and design of a chair that I would toss my hat in the ring. I spent 10 weeks refining the design and structure of this chair. I waited anxiously as it emerged from the manufacturers hands. To say I felt as if I were waiting for the birth of my second child wouldn't be an understatement.
