14 fret 00 guitar built in my shop in York Maine. Vintage bracing and design specs. Full thickness mahogany neck with carbon fiber reinforcements along with a 2 way adjustable truss rod. Very full and resonate sound. This guitar is not shy. I will post more videos as I find the time to make them. Please email any questions. Red Spruce top (Adirondack). Graduated top thickness. Sitka spruce braces. The top was tuned. Moderately scalloped. Ebony fretboard and bridge. 2 1/4" saddle spacing, 1 3/4" nut Grover tuners Macacauba back and sides from Nicaragua. This wood is used for marimba bars and is called "the wood that sings". Very hard glassy tap tone very similar to Brazilian in feel. Curly maple bindings. The neck is very full. Similar to the older Martin 000-18A's. If you like a thin neck profile this is not for you. Hand applied shellac finish. Thin but protective. Comes with a nice newer hardshell case. video link https://youtu.be/ry_88flM4X0 I will have a few more 00's ready in the next few months. Custom orders are welcome. Wait time on a custom is about 3-4 months. I have many sets of nice tonewood. Lots of Brazilian rosewood. Torrefied tops and bracing are available.

Handmade steel string acoustic guitars by Jeff Monkman. I use a lot of older Martin specs as well as a few modern concepts. My guitars are not replicas but they do lean to more old school tone, look and feel.
I've played guitar for over 40 years and have owned over 100 acoustic guitars. My goal is to create a players guitar full of tone and with a great feel. Hopefully my experience translates into creating this type of guitar for others to enjoy.
The number of older specs that I use are too numerous to list here. Please contact me for more info.
Here are just a few specs:
Fish glue is used on all tone relevant areas.
Graduated top thickness.
Torrified Sitka top bracing.
Proper body radius (no radius dish is used).
Carbon fiber reinforcement rods in the neck.
Full thickness neck profile.
Thin finish.
