Earth art and foods
Earth art and foods is a homestead established in the 1980's on the foothills of the Ozarks. The physical studio is open on weekends by appointment from 8am - 2pm.
Mahdee is a self-taught woodworker and home builder. His love for woodworking was kindled in early 1980's when during one summer he assisted in a woodworking shop designed for people with disabilities. All of his products are his original designs and are often accented with varieties of unique concepts.
Peggy is a self-taught woodworker and craftswoman. She enjoys concrete art as well as woodcrafts utilizing mostly reclaimed products. She was the recent 2nd prize winner at a contest with instructable for making a beautiful swan from a chunk of wood.

Communication back and forth was very quick and he provided me a selection of wood, dye and stain color choices. Being able to send pictures back and forth moved the project along quickly. The finished stick is beautiful and my step-son enjoys his gift immensely.

Oct 10, 2021The walking stick is quite attractive, with the wood grain showing nicely, and a semi-gloss finish. Mahdee's workmanship is excellent. I asked hime to "break" the shaft in half, so the stick could be loaded into a suitcase, and the threaded coupling is solidly installed; when threaded together, the seam can not be distinguished even by running a finger over it. Mahdee continuously updated me with photos as the work progressed, & our e-mail exchanges were vey cordial. I'm very satisfied.

Not only was the entire process done in a very professional manner, it was done truly amazing to see the development of the project. There were pictures of the process, frequent messages and a sincere openness to hearing my idea of what this stick was to look like. I would definitely recommend this artist to anyone.
