Flag And Certificate Display Case
These are custom made to order from Sapele Mahogany. I am an Iraq and Afghanistan Veteran and enjoy making them for other Vets and their families. They are mitered and spline joined with no nails in the corners. They hold a 3 x 5 flag the frame is for a 8 & 1/2 x 11 document. I am a Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan Veteran. I have been wood working most of my life. At 53 I was looking for something to do when I retire from my day job (Helicopter Mechanic). So I started building Memorial Flag Cases for fellow Veterans and their families.
I take great pride in crafting heirloom quality pieces that will last a life time. I try to use reclaimed urban lumber, (yard trees that were going to end up in the dump or fire wood). All the joinery is done the old fashion way, mortise & tenon, spline joints and so on.
