My quest was to create an art piece that pays homage to its function. Defying gravity, the wine barrel is tipped on its edge and cantilevered in space to recreate an image frozen in time juxtaposed against the idea of fluid movement. From the layering of the patina to blend metal and wood, to contouring steel to the shape of the barrel, my vision is that the integration of materials accentuates the illusion of the piece. The LED backlight glass runway and bottle staging will impress your guests by putting a spotlight on your stemware. My love for design and engineering has come together in a balancing act of my purest artistry to-date. The bar has been raised.

Colorado Barrel Designs was conceived to fill the gap between fine and reclaimed furniture. We strive to push the limits of what can be done with a wine or whiskey barrel. Strong functionality, bold aesthetics, and a little ingenuity lead the charge against disposable throwaway furniture that saturates the marketplace.
About Me;
Art is the artist behind each piece of barrel furniture. A very utilitarian individual, he loves to put function before feature. However, he has also been known to have good taste on occasion, possesses quite the imagination, and is becoming quite good at typing in third person. Whether it's R&D on the drawing board, on-the-fly in the shop, or pondering world hunger late at night, the wheels are always turning–even in his sleep.
