Farm Table, Reclaimed Lumber- Hand Made

$2,400

Two inch thick table top. Extremely sturdy table. Reclaimed White Oak Wood that was rescued from a barn in New Castle, IN was used to build this rustic Farm Table. The barn needed to come down as weather has taken a toll on the roof and causing the barn to be unsafe. The top was reclaimed from the floor joists, the legs were used as beams that retained the outer wall, and the truss was a beam that was falling and in bad shape. Planing, sanding, and love allowed this wood to be Reclaimed and transformed into a beautiful table perfect for any dinning room. Reclaiming is a long time dream of mine, and to create a piece of furniture that a family will sit around and make memories for years to come is so exciting. Measurements in the photo: 29.5x34x95 inches Material: White Oak Wood top Matte Finish

America's heritage has stood in the fields and beside farm houses for over a century in the form of barns. Historic barns are becoming more difficult to find, and due to the increase in commercial zoned land are being destroyed. Reclaimed Barns & Beams reclaims the wood from these hand hewed, pinned barns that have stood the tests of time. It is our hope that we can transform this wood into vintage farm tables, chairs, ceiling beams, mantles and more. This will give us a chance to keep the history of these barns alive and with us for years to come.
