Penumbra
Penumbra is an interactive light and color installation made from bamboo plywood and 256 glass tiles arranged to form a circular color gradient. The LEDs are triggered by sensors behind the glass. Penumbra adds a great deal of color and fun to any interior.

About Me
After completing his graduate studies in Architecture and Art History, Romy worked as an interactive designer for the next ten years. Longing to return to the design world, he spent a year learning about glass fusing, electronics and modern manufacturing techniques to create Looma. He plans to design other products and installations that combine interactive technologies, glass and LEDs. Originally from Ottawa, Canada Romy now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Looma is a contemporary lighting design and manufacturing company offering original interactive lighting and glasswork that combines modern technologies and manufacturing techniques with old world craftsmanship. We work with architects and interior designers to create custom lighting and glasswork that adds color and light to any environment. Our mission is to create original pieces that straddle the line between art and design. All of our glass is handmade using Bullseye Glass.
