Upcycled Journals From Vintage Children's Book, Choose One Or Send Me Yours!
These lovely journals are made from a recycled vintage children's board book of Mother Goose rhymes. It is approximately 8" wide by 10" tall and full of non-acidic, smooth, medium weight drawing paper. Wire bound, approximately 60 pages of paper. Great for writing, drawing, or taking notes! If you'd like your favorite book turned into a journal it needs to be no more than 1/8" thick. I can reinforce the cover if it is a paperback book.

The Dragon Charmer
Hi! My name is Jennifer Carson and I live in New Hampshire with my husband, four sons, and many four legged friends. I grew up on a steady diet of Muppet movies and renaissance faires, and would occasionally be caught reading under the blankets with a flashlight. I hold a bachelor's degree in creative writing and have been teaching art classes since the age of 16.
I see art possibilities in just about everything around me, from rusty nails, to discarded books, to that handkerchief your grandmother left you in the will. My preferential materials are fabric, threads and fibers.
I also like to rescue materials (like discarded books or vintage quilts/fabrics/lace/buttons) and put them to good use. Oh, and who doesn't love a good inspirational or meaningful quote? You'll find those in my work too.
My business, The Dragon Charmer, started as a sewing pattern business and has grown to include decorative, and practical, handmade items for the home or for personal use. I like to make the practical pretty, and the impractical useful.
